Something to consider...
Does the scriptural admonition to avoid lawsuits concern you?
Is your church lacking a reconciliation mechanism to assist in your dispute with a Brother or Sister in Christ?
The foundations of Western societal justice originated in the Bible. The practice of those God ordained principles has only recently, relatively speaking, been removed from the intended forum of the Church. 1Corinthians 6 admonishes Christians to submit their disputes to men of even little account. Only the most troubling and difficult issues are to be raised to the higher authorities within the church. Jurisdiction over criminal issues is shared by both the church (over the spiritual) and the state (over the temporal).
In between, in the middle where we spend most of our lives, is the jurisdiction of reconcilers. From mundane quarrels to lawsuits and divorce, this is the realm of biblical reconciliation. Too often this middle ground of life is surrendered to psychologists, attorneys, or overworked pastors. Yet the Bible says this jurisdiction belongs to everyday Christians (1Cor 6:5-6).
Christian Mediation Services may be the answer. No attorneys, no courts, no delays, maximum privacy, lower cost.
We offer three levels of service.
Conflict Coaching – Personal guidance in the scriptural steps necessary for you to approach your adversary and win him over to a solution that honors God and reconciles your relationship.
Mediation – Personal Coaching for both you and your adversary leading to a face to face meeting under the supervision of an unbiased Christian mediator. Guidance throughout the meeting to achieve a solution honoring to God that is a product of your own making.
Arbitration – A more formal review of the positions of each party held under mutually respectful conditions leading to a binding decision by a Christian arbitrator. These decisions have the force of law.
How does the process work?
You will be required to review the scripture appropriate to your situation.
--You will gather the information necessary to present your issue to the other party.
--With your Coach you will determine a course of action
--With your Coach you will pray about and rehearse your presentation
--You will release the results of your obedience to God, trusting in Him alone to meet your need.
--The means of Christian conciliation are repentance, confession, and forgiveness…in other words the Gospel.
